Today I completed the GuruLib notes testing and released the beta version. Again, your feedback help us perfect this feature. One additional note is that you could sort your library using the “Note Update Date”. Simply put, the titles will be listed based on the date in which you last modified the associated notes. The screen shot below is self explanatory.

I wanted give you a heads up on what I have been doing recently. GuruLib notes is getting its finaly touches. With GuruLib notes you can start jotting down notes with your book, movie, music, games or software. This feature was suggested by some GuruLib users but due to lack of resource, it took a long time to complete. The screen shots below will give you a feel of what is coming.

Stop Spam read books
After reading about the recaptcha project at CMU from BBC website, I implemented the much needed reCAPTCHA on the sign in page of GuruLib. A CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Turing Test To Tell Computers and Humans Apart) consists of an image containing letters or numbers which have been heavily distorted, making it hard or impossible for a bot to “read.”[1]
reCaptcha is an attempt to use human intelligence to decode text from old manuscripts and books that are sometimes impossible for a machine to decode. So reCaptcha not only keeps spam robots away but also helps CMU with their text digitizing project. This is a wonderful example of using the power of internet to solve a problem.
